Contracting Resources Group Inc Awarded $26.3M IDIQ Contract For Strategic, Operational and Tactical Communications Support

Contracting Resources Group Inc., Baltimore, Maryland, was awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum value of $26,356,026. The contract was awarded on a competitive basis, with six bids received in response to the solicitation. Contract HT0011-20-D-0005 provides for strategic, operational, and tactical communications support to the Military Health System Strategic Communications Office, the Defense Health Agency, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, and their leadership teams. Services include strategic, operational and tactical communications support to meet the challenging communications mission of this dynamic enterprise. The contract has a 10-month base period of performance and four 12-month option periods, with an estimated completion date of September 2025. Fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $5,170,050 are being obligated at the time of award. The Defense Health Agency, Falls Church, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

RFI: Advanced Tactical Weapon Data Link

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a contract for hardware and software design; and testing requirements to Collins Aerospace, – Communication & Navigation Products, Mission Systems, Cedar Rapids, Iowa to mature the development of the Advanced Weapon Agnostic Radio Enhancement (AWARE) Advanced Tactical Data Link (ATDL).

The scope of this contract is to mature the integrated three-mode software defined radio, providing  Link 16, Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS), and ATDL functions, along with embedded encryption, into a single module to replace the current Link 16 weapon data links used by the Navy.  This includes any and all support electronics, software, firmware and hardware required for the Government to complete check out and test of the WDL, and to produce a design specification for future procurement.

This effort will include initial production of the WDL.  The module Interface Control Document (ICD) will remain platform and weapon system agnostic, for a universal solution that easily integrates into systems across the DoD portfolio.
