Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Awarded $116M for maintenance and overhaul of the Black Hawk main rotor blade

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Connecticut, was awarded a $116,512,253 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and overhaul of the Black Hawk main rotor blade. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 15, 2026. Army Contract Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-21-D-0078).

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, provides military and rotary-wing aircraft to all five branches of the U.S. armed forces along with military services and commercial operators in 40 nations. It designs, manufactures, and services such military helicopters as the Black Hawk, Seahawk, and Firehawk. Sikorsky’s CH-53K helicopter is used by the US Marines for heavy lift operations. Civil aircraft include the S-76 and S-92, which are used for rescue, offshore oil, medical, and corporate use.  The company has been pioneering flight solutions since 1923. (www.dnb.com)
