005: Angela O’Byrne – Award Winning and Internationally Known Architect

Angela is President of Perez APC, an international design-build-develop firm. She was  named New Orleans 2016 Small Business Person of the Year and first runner up for National Small Business Person of the Year,  by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

She is a passionate advocate for women in architecture and construction, and works with professional and non-profit organizations dedicated to the advancement of women in the industry.

Angela is a licensed architect in 15 states, a licensed general contractor in 2 states, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She has successfully led complex design and construction projects around the world, including a $500 Million USAID contract in Afghanistan—the largest infrastructure construction contract awarded to a women-owned business to date by the USAID-Afghanistan Mission.

004: Jennifer Namvar – The Billion Dollar Capture Manager

Jennifer Namvar is a Capture Director for Leidos with 16 years of experience in all phases of the federal government business development life cycle. Her previous 4 employers are all consistently on the DOD Top 100 list.

Jennifer built her reputation in the GovCon industry by bidding and winning large, strategic opportunities within the Defense and Federal Civilian agencies with a focus on emerging and next generation technologies and solutions. Prior to joining Leidos, Jennifer held Capture positions at leading Federal Government Contractors: CSRA (legacy CSC), Engility, and NCI, where she successfully closed >$1B in new and re-compete business.

003: Linda Rawson Country Girl Turned CEO Technology Entrepreneur

Linda Rawson is a technology entrepreneur, author, inventor, and C-level executive.  Since 2006, she has owned and operated DynaGrace Enterprises, a Women-Owned Small Business in rural Morgan, Utah.  She started as a software engineer in the eighties when it was not typical for a woman in Utah.

She has received several awards for Davis/Morgan business of the year and wrote a very vulnerable book about grief.  Her background as a software engineer, combined with her corporate executive experience, merges the technical with the business world.   She has exceeded expectations and never let various challenges and obstacles associated with being a woman impede upon her path to success

In this episode we discuss her adventure navigating the 8a program. How she experienced success after finding a mentor/partner who showed her the ropes. Life after 8a and her latest invention; a weather station called the WeatherEgg.  She educates children about weather science through her coloring book and finds balance in life by traveling and participating in outdoor activities. She is pivoting her company into air quality.

002: Robert Wink – Contract Specialist with USACE former FEMA Contracting Officer

Robert Wink is the CEO of Integrity Lion Acquisitions. Robert comes with a vast experience working from within government. He retired from the US Army with multiple deployments to Iraq, was Contracting Officer with FEMA and is currently a Contact Specialist with the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Robert is also written two books “Small Business Starter Guide to Federal Government Contracts & Searching for Solicitations” and  “Secrets to Noncompetitive Government Contracts”

He opens up about his experiences working with FEMA after a large natural disaster and how the rules are not the same as many of the federal agencies.

001: Narjis Ali launched a NASA award winning IT security company

Narjis B. Ali is the President and CEO of Sure Secure Solutions, an 8a Woman Owned Information Technology (IT) Security company founded in 2004.  The companies core capabilities include Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Content Management and Information Management.

She has received numerous awards dating back to 2012 and most recently the prestigious 2016 US Small Business Administration and NASA Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award 2016 and 2017.
